The chart illustrates the unemployment situation in Australia by the 2012.
Overall, at the first quarter of the year the rural and urban areas was at completely different places and coming for the fourth quarter these areas came out to approximately 5 percent. Unemployment rate of rural areas, at the beginning, was between 6 and 7 percent, while the urban areas started with nearly 2.1 percent.
However, in the second quarter, situation totally changed, Urban areas sharply declined from 6.5 to 4.5 percent, whereas urban areas dramatically increased to 4 percent. By the third quarter, unemployment rate of urban areas enormously dropped again to approximately 2.1 percent, but the rural areas gradually rose to 5.4 percent and straightaway fell to 5 percent.
Unemployment rate of Rural and Urban areas in Australia in 2012 in the fourth quarter were on the same level, namely the Urban area was at 4.8 percent and the Rural area was at 5 percent.
