We have have very different styles of living. i work in morning shift ( 9 AM till 6 PM) and my roommate works in day shift (1PM – 10 PM). Whne he gets back to home he watches Television and carries on with his stuff but all these activities of him disturb me a lot. You rent a four-bedroom house, which you share with two other students. However, there are several problems with this house that needs fixing. You also find it expensive and would like to find another student to share the spare bedroom.
Write a letter to the estate agency. In the letter:
- explain your situation
- describe the problems with the house
- say what you would like to happen
Dear Sir or Madam,
I, with two of my flat mates, are living in a 4-bedroom house and are facing several issues with the house that needs to be repaired.
One Glass Window had broken during the storm and requires repair as we can't close it properly. The lock of the drawing room's balcony door is not working since we rented the house, requires replacement. And there is a leakage of water in the kitchen's wash area. The water trips down to the cupboard below the basin that keeps the cupboard wet, moist and dirty. This needs to be sealed by a good water sealant so that water doesn't flow down to cupboard.
Also, we are looking for one more student who can share our 4th bedroom(spare) since the current rent of the house is bit expensive. Your help would be much appreciated in searching for our new flat mate and getting the repairs done as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Neha

Write a letter to the landlord. In your letter. In your letter,
• explain your situation

Dear Sir/Madam,
I’m writing to request an assistance to extend my lease for my current apartment until September. As you may aware my lease will be finishing next month. Unfortunately, the unit that I am planning to move will not be available on next month.
Currently, I am on the half way process of my unit. I have some problems needed to be sort out within this month. The internet access and electricity bills are not included in rental price Therefore, I need to buy internet service for that unit. Besides that, I need to find white goods within next month because that place is not included white goods. If I could solve these problems as soon as possible I will be happy to move into earlier September.
If you could concern my urgent matter and kindly make a decision I would be appreciate it.
Thank you for your consideration and I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

You recently moved into a two bedroom apartment with your friend and have discovered certain problems with it. Write a letter to the real estate agency.
In your letter:
1) describe the problem
2) explain why the problems are causing you inconvenience
3) say what you want the real estate agency to do
Write at least 150 words
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear...
Dear Sir/Madam,
Last month me and my friend moved into the 2 bedroom apartment on Jersey Street. At the onset, eveything looked fine. But of late we have started to discover some grave problems with the property. I wanted to bring these to your kind attention as they are becoming a nuisance now.
The biggest problem that we have is the presence of roaches and bugs. They are everywhere in the apartment. We are at a grave risk of food poisoning and other illnesses due to them. In addition to that, we had to throw out a lot of our clothes as they were infested by bed bugs. Apart from these, there is an issue of seepage in the bathroom, which causes a foul smell in the whole apartment.
These issues have made living in the apartment really difficult and we constantly have to move back and forth to a friends place. I hope your good self will attend to these problems at the earliest so that the place can become habitable. We will be available for your inspection of the apartment on a 24 hour notice.
Yours Sincerely

Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter:

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to bring to your attention about the problems I am facing with my shared accommodation.
I am a research student living along with a roommate who is an enthusiastic pianist and who seems to be quite famous, as a lot of people frequently come and visit him, to learn from him. I am troubled by the noises they make and it is becoming hard for me to concentrate on my research and work. I am not against musicians, but I simply prefer to have my own privacy. In addition to this, we both have a shared washroom. Since we both have to leave for our respective works at the same time, it is sometimes hard for both of us to get the washroom unoccupied.
I am a person who prefer to live a life of solitude. So, I would really appreciate if you can provide me a single room with attached washroom to it.
Hope you will consider my request.
Yours Sincerely,
Suresh Panduga.
