You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
- give details of your study plans
- explain why you want to get a part-time job
- suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear John,
How are you?. Hope this letter finds you in good health. I have a good news! I am coming to United Kingdom to do my Master’s in Supply Chain Management. I know you will be equally excited as I am, its been long since we last met, I have lot of things to tell you.
Coming to the reason behind this letter, I will be doing my Masters in University of Salford, Manchester, the city you are staying. It will be a 1 year course with 3 classes per week and as per my student visa, I can also work part time for 20 hours per week. As you are living there for more than 5 years now, I am well aware you will be having a lot of contacts there, who can help me to secure a part time job. I also remember you telling me, you worked in KFC as a team member for over a year, so you must be having some friends still working there, who can assist me in fetching a job.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to meet in you in person.
Sincerely,
Nadeem
