Write a letter to your landlord about an increase in rent that you don't think is justified. In your letter say:
- Why you are writing
- What the problems are
- What you want the landlord to do
Dear sir,
It's my pleasure writing you I hope you are doing. Am writing in respect to the rent increment which I feel is not justified.
As you were informed of the various problems in the house like, leaking pipes, inadequate water supply, and consistent smell from the leaking pipes which has caused pollution.
I honestly feel, these problems should be addressed first considering the fact most of the occupants are students whom are struggling to survive in school.
So once the problems in the house are rectified the rent increment can come in gradually which won't affect all that much.
Thanks as we await your favourable response
Yours sincerely
Mary Adeolu.
